
Welcome to 39th International Symposium on Superconductivity (ISS2026).
The International Symposium on Superconductivity (ISS), first held in 1988, celebrates its 39th edition this year. Under the chairmanship of Professor Akira Fujimaki, the symposium will take place from December 1 to 3, 2026, at the Toyama International Conference Center. Toyama is a historic and compact city that represents the essence of Japan, blessed with majestic mountains and renowned for its abundant seafood. Early December, when ISS is held, marks the beginning of winter in Toyama. The city is conveniently located about two hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this beautiful city!

Notice Regarding Registration Restrictions for ISS2026
Considering the current international situation, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan has revised the Export Trade Control Ordinance under the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act. In accordance with this government policy, the ISS2026 Secretariat will organize the symposium accordingly. ISS2026 will not accept registration applications from scientists or engineers affiliated with the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus.
