Proceedings Submission Policy for ISS2026

1. Introduction
Starting from ISS2026, authors will be able to choose one of two publication options for submitting their proceedings manuscripts. This updated policy is intended to provide greater flexibility for authors and to accommodate a wider range of research outputs within the superconductivity community.

2. Publication Options
(1) IOP Conference Series (IOP Conf. Ser.)
Authors may submit their manuscript to the traditional proceedings outlet, Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS), published by IOP Publishing. This option follows the established format used in previous ISS conferences and is suitable for contributions that align with the standard conference proceedings framework.

(2) Superconductor Science and Technology (SuST)
As an alternative, authors may choose to submit their manuscript to the Superconductor Science and Technology (SuST) Focus Collection as part of the ISS2026 special proceedings pathway. Please note that SuST applies higher standards of scientific quality, novelty, and rigor, consistent with its regular peer-review criteria. This option may be particularly suitable for authors whose work is ready for publication in a high-impact, peer-reviewed journal.

3. Important Notes for Authors

Choose Only One Option
Authors are required to select either the IOP Conference Series or SuST.
Submitting the same manuscript to both outlets is strictly prohibited.

Dual Submission Policy
Please be advised that double submission to SuST and IOP Conf. Ser. will result in immediate rejection from both publication venues.
Authors must ensure their manuscript is submitted to only one of the two options.

Quality Requirements for SuST
Because SuST is a fully refereed international journal, only manuscripts meeting its normal standards of scientific excellence will be accepted.
Authors considering this option are encouraged to prepare their work to a level suitable for journal publication.

4. Submission Details and Guidelines
Specific instructions regarding templates, submission procedures, deadlines, and publication fees will be announced on the ISS2026 website as they become available.
Authors are encouraged to consult the respective publisher guidelines for detailed information on manuscript preparation:

4.1 IOP Conference Series Author Guidelines
- Author Guidelines:
IOP Conference Series Author Guidelines: https://publishingsupport.iopscience.iop.org/author-guidelines-for-conferenceproceedings/
- Review System: The review process will be conducted through the Morressier peer‑review system, as in previous ISS conferences.
- Submission: Please submit your manuscript via the submission link provided below. Kindly prepare your Proceedings in accordance with the guidelines shown on the linked page. A link to Morressier will also be included on the guidelines page.

4.2 Superconductor Science and Technology (SuST) Instructions for Authors
- Submission Method: If you wish to submit your manuscript to the SuST Focus Collection for ISS2026, please send your paper by email to: SuST@iss-board.org

- Preliminary Screening:
The ISS2026 General Chair will conduct a preliminary screening to determine whether your manuscript is suitable for submission to Superconductor Science and Technology.
- Notification:
The General Chair will communicate the result of the preliminary review to both the authors and SuST.
- Full Peer Review:
If your manuscript passes the preliminary screening, it will proceed to full peer review under SuST’s standard editorial and review procedures.

5. Contact Information
If you have any questions about choosing between IOP Conf. Ser. and SuST, or about the suitability of your manuscript for SuST, you may contact the ISS2026 General Chair.
Additional contact details will be included in the full submission information released later.

6. Closing Remarks
The ISS Organizing Committee hopes that this new dual‑option system will provide authors with greater flexibility and support the dissemination of high‑quality research in superconductivity. We thank all contributors for their continued engagement with ISS and look forward to receiving your manuscripts.
