The ISS-Board
Non-profit volunteer organization: organizer of the annual ISS. Approves the symposium plan and manages the annual budget.

International Advisory Committee (IAC)
Recommend or advise the Chairperson of the annual ISS regarding candidates for plenary / invited speakers. The committee members are appointed by the ISS.
Executive Program Committee (EPC)
Determines the annual symposium program; Approves or rejects presentation applications; Determines Plenary and Invited speakers; Evaluates candidates for the ISS Best Presentation Award; Serves on the editorial board of the proceedings (IOP Conf. series); Committee members are appointed by ISS.
Program Committee
Acceptance of presentations, assembly of technical sessions, selection of session-chairs. Scoring of ISS Best Presentation Awards. Session management, no-show reports, peer review of proceedings. The committee members are appointed by the ISS. The program committee is comprised of four separate technology areas: Physics and Chemistry (PC), Electronic Devices (ED), Wire and Bulk (WB), and Large Scale Applications (AP).
Local Organizing Committee (LOC)
LOC's activities are carried out by volunteers, and include creating symposium implementation plans and financial plans, selecting and arranging the venue, sending letters of appointment to all committee members, applying for sponsorship to academic societies, setting up and operating the event website, sending invitations to invited speakers, requesting chairpersons, the participant registration system, operating the payment system, registering presentations, building and operating the abstract/proceedings submission and peer review system, compiling and publishing the symposium program, accepting corporate exhibition reservations, providing visa support for overseas participants, arranging and operating the banquet venue, arranging for student assistants, supporting the ISS Best Presentation Award, setting up the oral and poster presentation venue, and arranging equipment.
